INTRODUCTION
The KEMAS Training Institute Kuantan is among the training institutes under the management of the Training and Career Development Division of KEMAS Headquarters. ILK Kuantan is in charge of handling pre-service courses and in-service courses to future Community Developers and members of KEMAS as well as providing facilities to the Department of KEMAS Department, government departments, NGOs as well as local communities.
The KEMAS Training Institute Kuantan was built in 1991 and fully completed in 1993 on a 4-acre site which was approved in 1972.
Construction of the ILK Kuantan building costs RM 4,889,000.00 while the costs for hostel facilities and education totaled up to another RM 1,000,000.00.
The KEMAS Training Institute is located near Medan Tok Sira housing area, Mukim Kuala Kuantan in Kuantan district. The distance between the institute and Kuantan City is only 5 kilometers via road.
The location of this training institute is very strategic as it is located nearby other government agencies such as the Department of Chemistry, Road Transport Department, MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) and Pahang Professional Development Institute (IKIP). Its location is also nearby the famous Teluk Chempedak Beach tourist spot which is approximately just 2.5 kilometers away.
OBJECTIVE
To create competent, competitive and independent rural communities, enhancing emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual societies as well as mastering the 4M basic skills to children under the age of 6 and ensuring an effective delivery system.
