KEMAS Sri Iskandar Training Institute (ILKSI), Perak was created as an initiative to enhance the capabilities and credibility of the KEMAS community.

The establishment of KEMAS Seri Iskandar Training Institute(ILKSI) was planned in 7th Malaysia Plan(RMK-7) in May 1999 on 7 acres of land in Bandar Seri Iskandar in Central Perak District, Bota State Assembly and Parit Parliament. It is located 30 km from Ipoh City in the middle of Ipoh-Lumut main route. ILKSI was handed over to KEMAS in 2001 and started its operation in September.

KEMAS Sri Iskandar Training Institute is the 6th training centre of kemas and the 2nd training centre with a status of an institution after the KEMAS Training Institute of Kuantan, Pahang. It started operating in September 2002.

  1. To provide quality, dynamic and effective training facilities for participants consist of KEMAS staffs, government agencies and community organizations to create a motivated, innovative and credible community.
  2. To implement training programs as planned by the Training Division and other branches of KEMAS Headquarters.
  3. To plan in maximizing the usage of existing facilities by integrating activities through KEMAS state and other departments as well as non-governmental organizations.
  4. To provide facilities for informal activities to the public.
  1. SKM Level 2 (TA-011-2:2012)
    Women’s Tailoring
    Career scope as a skilled worker. Duration of study is 6 months. Located in AKK Seri Iskandar.
  2. SKM Level 3 (TA-011-3:2012)
    Women’s Tailoring
    Career scope as a sewing supervisor. Duration of study is 1 year. Located in AKK Seri Iskandar.
  3. DKM Level 4 (TA-011-4:2013)
    Fashion and Clothing Administrator
    Career scope as a fashion and clothing administrator. Study duration is 2 years. Located in AKK Seri Iskandar.
  1. Improve the human capital qualities in rural areas and capable of making skilled talent in the fashion and clothing industry.
  2. Improve the sewing skills of rural participants towards accredited certification.
  3. Provide training to trainees who excel less in academic but possess high sewing skills.
  4. Guide participants from low-income families.
  • Malaysian citizens
  • Age not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years old
  • Academic qualifications:
  • SPM/SPM (V)
  • Pass in Bahasa Malaysia subject and Oral Test
  • Participants (for KEMAS candidates only) are candidates who pass sitting for the KEMAS Efficiency Assessment Test
  • Healthy body, not suffering from chronic illness, not color blind, etc.
  • Status must be single/ unmarried
  • For the application of the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 2, candidate must possess SKM Level 1 (Women’s Tailoring)
  • For the application of the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3, candidate must possess SKM Level 2 (Senior Women’s Tailoring)
  • For the application of the Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) Level 4, candidate must possess the SKM Level 3 (Women’s Tailoring Supervisor)
  • Priority is given to candidates from low-income families.
