The Early Childhood Education Division coordinates and manages the Early Childhood Education Program according to the National Pre-School Standard Curriculum (KSPK) under the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) and the Child Care Act 1984 under the Social Welfare Department (JKM) and National Early Childhood Care and Development Policy (Dasar Asuhan dan Didikan Awal Kanak-Kanak (ADUK)) and National PERMATA Curriculum.

The KEMAS Early Childhood Education Program is divided into two categories:1. Children’s Nursery (TASKA): children 2 – 4 years old2. Children’s Preschool(TABIKA): Children 4 – 6 Years old

  1. Children with a Malaysian Citizen status
  2. Open for children aged 2 to 4 years old.
  3. Application for admission for 2019 will be open from June to October 2018.
  4. Application forms can be downloaded through the Community Development Department portal (http://www.kemas.gov.my) and can also be collected at all PERMATA KEMAS Taska.
  5. The number of children in a class is limited to a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 30 people (depending on the size of a class of 3.5 meters per child).
  6. The ratio of a Community Developer is 5 – 6 children.
  7. Completed registration form with relevant documents should be sent directly to the nearest PERMATA KEMAS Taska.
  8. The Tabika Selection Committee will issue a rejection/acceptation letter to the parents / guardians of the particular children.
  9. The acceptation / rejection letter will be issued by the second week of November 2018.

Documents to be taken during registration: –

  1. Copy of Birth Certificate of Child.
  2. Copy of mother and father / guardian identification card.
  3. Parents / guardians pay slips.
  4. Two passport size photographs of children.
  5. Children health records.
