Functional Literacy Education
The Functional Literacy Education Programme is a literacy programme aimed at raising the level of literacy in rural and interior areas of Sabah and Sarawak through 3M (read, write and count) towards improving the quality of life of the community.
- Teenagers who dropout from formal education
- 2 hours/ 3 times a week
- Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3
To be carried out in the interior areas of Sabah and Sarawak.
The role of the Resource Centre is to increase knowledge and provide information to children right up to adults.
Programmes and activities as well as services of the Resource Centre are:
- Book loan services
- Reference and referral services
- Current awareness services
- Reading promotion activities
The spiritual class is a routine activity carried out by the Human Development Community Supervisors and Developers which emphasizes on human development.
The teaching and learning system used in the spiritual class uses the following five (5) curriculum areas:
- Personal Excellence Education
- Family Education
- Social Education
- Health Education
- Economic Education
Jom Ngaji Programme
This programme is an added value programme to the existing Spiritual Class. The programme adopts a specially designed module to facilitate participants to learn and recite the Qur’an better and more effectively.
